a period of dry weather, especially a long one that is injurious to crops.

Climate change or global warming is frequently blamed for almost everything considered to be slightly out of the norm, and drought is one of those things.  Then, again, so is excess rain blamed on global warming, which goes to show just how ludicrous such claims can become.  Most, but not all, places go through periods of rain and drought on a somewhat regular cycle and sometimes the rain is heavier than normal and at other times the drought may be longer than normal.  Nevertheless, there is nothing abnormal about heavy rain and drought.  It is all caused by nature and it occurs naturally and not because of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Suggestions from some CASF members to introduce visitors to the non-problem of catastrophic, human-caused, CO2-fueled “Global Warming” ( since the warming of the 1980s and 1990s stopped about 1998, the name needed to be changed to “Climate Change” ) have led us to a new feature, “New Visitors” short for, “New Visitors Start Here.”

The idea is to provide a short introductory paragraph (or two) and a series of links to take new visitors on a tour of many of the false claims of imminent climate catastrophe through links to short topics which demonstrate this folly. The birth of Christ was the most important event in human history. Second to it was the hockey stick growth in per capita GDP (standards of living) that began with the creation of the Dutch Republic in the late 16th century. Most know it as the Industrial Revolution, which socialists claim impoverished and enslaved mankind, but it was much more than that. It was a revolution in culture, including the laws, government, religion, social structure and attitudes toward business.

A Critique of the Fourth National Climate Assessment

In describing the errors in the Fourth National Climate Assessment, ‘NCA4’, I’ll use the words from the Executive Summary which purport to link climate changes in the USA to global climate change.
